In-Depth PADI IDC
Our In-Depth PADI IDC is for candidates, such as experienced PADI Divemaster, who have independently prepared for an IDC and who have already purchased all PADI IDC & EFR materials.
This package prioritizes core instructor development, focusing on building strong teaching skills, solid dive theory knowledge, and confidence across all core IDC components, without extended training time or additional professional layers.
Pro Gold PADI IDC
Our Pro Gold PADI IDC includes all required IDC & EFR materials and is designed for candidates who want more preparation and extra workshops, but without additional specialty teaching qualifications.
This package promotes greater confidence prior to the PADI Instructor Examination, providing more in-water preparation and additional teaching practice, and includes our IE Pass Guarantee.
Platinum PADI IDC
Our Platinum PADI IDC is created for candidates who want maximum preparation, mentorship, and career opportunities.
This is our most comprehensive IDC package, providing everything that our Pro Gold package offers, but with extended training to help new instructors enter the job market with confident teaching abilities and better credentials.

Depending on availability, there’s optional ‘add-on’ accommodation for each of our IDC packages. Air conditioned bedrooms, each fully fitted, including bathrooms, located at our Chalong pier dive center – very convenient and saves heaps of travel time & cost for you!
To be eligible for these special accommodation prices, bookings must be paid for in advance along with your PADI Instructor Course package.

PADI IDC Requirements
Here is an overview of the requirements for starting a PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) through to completing a PADI IE (Instructor Examination):
PADI IDC Entry Requirements
- PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another diving organization
- 18 years old
- 60 logged dives plus experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation
- If not a PADI Divemaster, pass the PADI Divemaster course dive rescue assessment
- Certified diver for six months
- A ‘fit to dive’ medical statement signed by a physician within the previous 12 months
- Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course completion (or qualifying certification) within the last 24 months
PADI IE Entry Requirements
- 100 logged dives
- Successful completion of a PADI IDC within the last 12 months
PADI OWSI Exit Requirements
- Successfully pass the PADI IE
- Emergency First Response Instructor or CPR/first aid instructor with another emergency care organization
